Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, in close affiliation to the Mill Controller, the Finance Manager is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities for the Company.  This position will play a key role in both strategic and day-to-day decision making.

  • Month-end financial reporting & analysis
  • Year end file preparation
  • Preparation of activity reports and financial forecasts
  • Oversee internal audits and procedural controls
  • Participation in the annual budget process
  • Continual improvement of accounting processes
  • Supervision and management of AP/AR
  • Strong involvement with senior management in analyzing all financial aspects of the business

Skills/Competency Requirements:

  • Exemplary accounting skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong analytical problem solving and leadership skills
  • High numeracy and strong technical skills
  • Exemplary computer skills with a very strong functional capacity in Excel
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Solid planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Undergraduate business degree
  • Progression to senior finance roles
  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • Industry experience preferred (large manufacturer)
